Yellowheart - Tropical Hardwood Speices from South America

Yellowheart | Janka Hardness: 1790lbf

Indigenous to Brazil, Yellowheart (Euxylophora paraensis) is a tropical hardwood that grows a towering 130 feet tall or more with leaves that can reach upwards of 10 inches in length. True to its name, yellowheart has a bright, vibrant yellow heartwood with relatively straight grain and fine texture that finishes into a fine luster. With age, it tends to golden but when sealed properly will maintain its hue. Makes a great match with Padauk and darker woods like Black Palm or Bocote when laminating patterns.
